IPI Comics is over the moon to announce the upcoming 6-part horror comic series, The Matron, by the extraordinary talented writers, Drew Edwards and David Bowles, both based in Texas. We are nearing getting a contract organised with an amazing artist and colorist, which we will announce when locked in. “These guys are amazing,” said Chris Sequeira, Director and Editor-in-Chief of Comics and Graphic Novels, “and the series will knock your socks off! Let’s just say that we are impressed enough that we are already in negotiations for a separate project, and possible follow-up series for The Matron.”
When a winter storm shuts down the Central Texas town of Ascuas, the granddaughter of an infamous serial killer takes up an ancient mask and ax to exact revenge for the gentrification of her ancestral home. As the Matron visits death upon frozen shops and homes, only one group of people can stop the devastation: her own family.
