IPI Comics is very pleased to announce the acquisition of a 2-part graphic novel series titled Megalania Man, by Ray Kwandamooka. The total story length is over 320 comic pages, broken into two parts with additional material. The graphic above provides interested readers with a glimpse of the quality of production.

“This is an absolutely unique graphic novel,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director IPI Comics. “It has it all – adventure, deep mythological grounding, fantastical creatures, gods, settings and mortal powers. But above all, we are impressed with the way Ray creates a world and epic story that is proudly first nations Australian – not by preaching or spelling out, but by showing. This is something he should be proud of, and we are honoured to play our part by publishing it. We believe you will be impressed.”

Ray Kwandamooka is a 60-year-old first nations Australian (Wynnum Mob). Happily Married 38 years, father of four. Non-smoker, non-drinker, vegetarian. Self employed sole operator tradesman for over 35 years. Once scored 147 in backyard Cricket. His only vice – habitual daydreamer and perpetual know-it-all.

Megalania Man will be first available through two crowdfunding campaigns, offering special material that will not be available when it is later globally released through normal book and comic store distribution networks. The first kickstarter campaign will be launched in 2026 (date to be determined), and the second early 2027. Book and comic store releases will occur in 2027.
