HALLOWEEN MAN MOVES TO IPI COMICS AND CELEBRATES WITH A NEW FREE DIGITAL COMIC
Long-running cult horror-superhero series begins a new chapter with IPI Comics in 2027, while the all-new Halloween Man: Devil’s Night arrives just in time for the Halloween season.
AUSTIN, TX – October 7 2026 – Big news, trick-or-treaters! After more than two decades of monsters, mad science, supernatural mayhem, and things that go bump in the Texas night, Halloween Man is officially coming to IPI Comics.
Beginning in 2027, IPI Comics will bring Halloween Man to readers through a new series of physical collections, giving comic-shop customers the opportunity to discover – or rediscover – the long-running webcomic cult favorite on store shelves.
Created and written by Drew Edwards, Halloween Man follows undead monster hunter Solomon Hitch and brilliant scientist Dr. Lucy Chaplin through a bizarre world where superheroes, horror movies, science fiction, folklore, and Texas weirdness collide.
The move follows Edwards’ collaboration with IPI Comics on the horror series The Matron and represents the beginning of a new era for his signature creation.
“IPI has turned my slasher series The Matron into a smashing success, so it only felt natural to put my signature character under their umbrella,” said Edwards. “This is a natural evolution for Halloween Man, and I can’t wait to bring more of Solomon, Lucy, and the strange world they inhabit to comic-store shelves.”
A FREE HALLOWEEN TREAT
But readers won’t have to wait until 2027 to celebrate.
To mark the announcement, Edwards and the Halloween Man creative team have released an all-new comic absolutely FREE on GlobalComix.
Halloween Man: Devil’s Night arrives just in time for the Halloween season and features a brand-new cover by acclaimed DC Comics artist and longtime Halloween Man collaborator Nicola Scott.
The new release offers readers a fresh dose of the series’ distinctive mixture of horror, superheroes, humor, romance, monsters, and macabre adventure – and provides an accessible entry point for anyone curious about the strange world of Halloween Man.
“October has always been a special month for me, and I’m really proud of this new comic,” Edwards said. “It ranks among the best releases we’ve ever put together. I think longtime fans are going to have a blast with it, while new readers will find it a great doorway into the weird world of Halloween Man.”
First launched as a webcomic, Halloween Man has grown over the years into an expansive independent comics universe, earning a dedicated readership while bringing together an international roster of artists and collaborators. The series has blended classic monsters, pulp adventure, superheroics, science fiction, romance, and Texas folklore while remaining centered on its unlikely heroic couple, Solomon Hitch and Lucy Chaplin.
The partnership with IPI Comics will introduce that history to a wider print audience through curated physical editions beginning in 2027, while opening the door for the next generation of Halloween Man stories.
After more than two decades of raising the dead, the future of Halloween Man is looking as bright as a jack-o’-lantern’s smile.
